Asplenium platyneuron
Ebony spleenwort

Ebony spleenwort is a relatively small fern with a narrow, spiky appearance. Its glossy blackish stems are the source of the "ebony" in its name. It thrives in rocky, poor soil and can tolerate more sun than most ferns. The fronds are evergreen.
